With JQ Editions, Julia Quinn brings her very favorite historical romances directly to readers, redesigned as stunning special editions.
JQ Editions is live on Kickstarter! The brand-new venture is partnering with beloved, well-regarded romance authors and exceptional illustrators to create hardcover editions of Julia Quinn’s favorite titles—not just books she likes, but books she loves. Every edition comes with full-color illustrated endpapers, custom sprayed edges, and a luxurious soft-touch cover, and Quinn works closely with each illustrator to ensure the art celebrates the respective story and honors the author.
As premium and collectible book editions surge in popularity, Quinn saw a striking gap in the market: historical romance—one of the genre’s most beloved and enduring categories—has been largely overlooked in the special-edition boom. Quinn explains, “While special editions are having a moment, historical romance is underrepresented, and I want to offer readers of the genre a way to celebrate it.” She continues, “Readers are always asking me what to read after Bridgerton. With JQ Editions, I can put wonderful books in their hands and shine a light on many of the spectacular writers currently working in the historical romance genre.”
Subscriptions to JQ Editions are available now for one- or two-year terms via Kickstarter. JQ Editions is offering three inaugural titles in 2026: The Last Lady B by Eloisa James, illustrated by Shea O’Connor; An Extraordinary Union by Alyssa Cole, illustrated by Lisbeth Checo; and Lord of Scoundrels by Loretta Chase, illustrated by Ann Shen. The first book will be shipped to subscribers in July. There will be six titles in 2027, and 2028 titles will be announced mid-2026.
